Tyler Perry Scripts

Tyler Perry is among many everyday Americans who have come from poverty to wealthy entrepreneurs thanks to their talent and good ol’ capitalism. Perry came from a poor family background and began writing as a way to relieve himself from depression and stress.
Lo and behold, it turned out that Perry was actually a very talented writer and he began his journey to creating scripts that ended up becoming very popular films. The Madea franchise has consistently made a profit while some of his more daring projects (i.e. Colored Girls (2010)) have become critically acclaimed hits.
By taking his own life experiences into his stories, Perry was able to find an audience of hundreds of thousands of people who appreciated his style and perhaps, recognized similarities between their own childhood and his. His style of comedy infused with some drama have made him a very compelling director that can also be lighthearted.
Writing is a personal journey that can take you to many places. By utilizing journals or your computer word processor, you can relieve stress and ease depression; while some of us may create the next new blockbuster hit.

Cillian Murphy Scripts

The young irish rogue, Cillian Murphy, has created an image of himself as a seductive yet dangerous villian. From his role as “The Scarecrow” aka Jonathan Crane from the new Batman series, his odd muscular structure and penetrating eyes have captured audiences as someone who is NOT to be trusted.

This is a great opportunity for Murphy because a villain is often as difficult to find as a hero in the film industry. However, he has diversified his interests in other roles such as his breakthrough hero role in 28 Days Later (2002) which utilized his same features to show a character that was desperately suffering in a post-apocalyptic world.

There’s no telling where Murphy’s career will settle as he has been all over the place in terms of roles. He can be humorous, villainous and serious which are all traits of a long-term actor.

Actors who hope for long term fame would do well to research the films that this particular actor has on his resume.

Elizabeth Shue Scripts

The perfect girl next door, Elizabeth Shue easily found her way into the film industry with her good looks, bright smile and innocent personality. From her first major role in The Karate Kid (1984), she has found steady work playing innocent, good natured and heart warming characters.
She was bound to be typecast as this good natured character until she won the role of Sera in the critically acclaimed film, Leaving Las
Vegas (1995). The role completely defied the stereotypical characters that she had been used to playing, and she found a new challenge playing a prostitute in this dangerous, heart wrenching film.
The challenge was met, and the rest is history. Shue was nominated for an Academy Award, which skyrocketed her career and opened many doors for future film roles. She continues to work on many different types of films from dramas to comedies, as well as in horror.

Top 5 Animation/Live Action Scripts

Creating an animation/live action film is a difficult task that few directors take on, due to its time-consuming nature and the fact that the director requires technical directors to help with the animation process (unless he or she has experience with directing animation). It can be troublesome to say the least, but when done well- it can become a wonderful journey that many people will appreciate.

The list below consists of the top five animation/live action films.

Jennifer Lawrence Scripts

Jennifer Lawrence, who is best known as her role as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games (2012) appears to have been blessed with the natural talent for acting. As a 14 year old with no acting experience, Lawrence did her first cold read in front of a group of acting recruiters in Manhattan. They were so stunned by her performance that they asked her mother to let her stay the summer in Manhattan to develop her craft.

Since then she has seen nothing but success. Winning her first Academy Award for her role as Ree in Winter’s Bone (2010), she easily found her way into other popular movie roles- her first major role being Mystique in X-Men: First Class (2011). Then with her role as Katniss Everdeen, she became a household name, and has seen nothing but success ever since.

Her career as an actress appears to have been written in the stars; showing itself at the precise moment needed and with every door opening ahead. This is not the case with many actors and actresses who fight and strive for every audition and role. There’s a lot to think about in this case, about finding true purpose and noticing the signs that show you are on the right path.

Lawrence found her path. Where does yours lay?

Rob Zombie Scripts

Rob Zombie (birth name “Robert Bartleh Cummings”) has one of the most interesting film careers from recent history. He did not start out as a filmmaker. He was merely a very famous and well respected musician. However, somewhere down the road of success, this avant garde horror lover decided to take a stab at the film world by creating his own series of violent splatter fest films. Starting with his hugely popular House of 1000 Corpses (2003), Rob Zombie revolutionized the way that horror was presented in a way that shocked and mesmerized horror fans nationwide.
The keys to Zombie’s success lays solely upon his passion and his ability to focus on his work. No matter what he does, he is successful because he works from his heart- taking on tasks that compliment his style and personal tastes. Prior to his first film, Zombie did a tour of his house on the docu-style MTV show Cribs (2000) where he showed off his large collection of horror movies. The sheer vastness of his collection captured the intensity in which he adores a good scary movie. The community of movie macabre lovers must be grateful.

David Ayer Scripts

David Ayer, director of the new cop drama End of Watch (2012) has built a name for himself on the back of Los Angeles. The dark city, full of injustice and perversion has been the muse for many of Ayer’s blockbuster hit films.
As a writer, director and actor, Ayer has constantly striven to bring out the most dangerous aspects of Los Angeles living; never fearing to tread into the dark muck of the inner cities and into the violent lives of the inhabitants who call these areas home.
Much of Ayer’s personal experiences explain how he came to become the filmmaker that he is today. Born in Illinois, Ayer came to California and spent much of his time “on the most troubled streets of South Central Los Angeles” (IMDB.com, 2012). The time he spent there proved to give him insight that is completely irreplaceable in the film industry today. The colorful use of inner city slang as well as his knowledge of the workings of inner city culture were exactly what Ayer needed to give himself a boost into stardom.
Any person who wants to be in the film industry can learn from Ayers’ experience. Coming from a low income background and with no real college education, he was able to build himself up to becoming a well-respected director and writer. By embracing his childhood memories and experiences, he was able to funnel them into his writing and create films that would gain national acclaim.

Robert Lorenz Scripts

“Always the bridesmaid, never the bride.” This old adage could easily be used to describe the long and repetitive career of Robert Lorenz. Since his career in Hollywood started in 1989, he has exclusively served the position of Assistant Director; first to low budget films and then to some of the most exclusively A-list films in his recent career. However, he never seemed to be able to make that jump from assistant director to director.
That is, until now. The newest Clint Eastwood film entitled Trouble With the Curve (2012), is the first movie that Lorenz has taken on as a full fledged director. After years of assisting, he suddenly has been given the chance to prove himself on a major motion picture. Why, you may ask? The movie industry is not keen on switching saddles and giving assistant directors the chance to direct or vice versa. “If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it” is another perfect adage to describe this component of the film industry.
However, Lorenz had an ace up his sleeve and that was his professional relationship with the one and only, Clint Eastwood. Since 1994, Lorenz has worked for Eastwood’s film production company, taking on many development roles including pre-production and post-production along with his experienced role as an assistant director.
Could Eastwood have seen the potential that Lorenz had in directing a major motion picture? There is no definite answer to this question, but the circumstantial proof is overwhelming.
Anyone in the film industry should take Lorenz’s career as a lesson that everyone is given a chance, given that they make the right connections and build trust with established pillars of the film community. In addition, the importance of patience can not be second guessed, as Lorenz learned after 20 years of working in the film industry.
